Lawrence Weston Community Farm
Volunteering
We have many opportunities for individuals and families to volunteer in a variety of ongoing and new projects. Volunteering is a great opportunity to gain new skills and to meet new friends. We also have individual and group placements available.
Current positions:
Community Orchard Volunteer - the community orchard involves all aspects of building fencing, clearance, pathway building, tree planting and aftercare;
Maintenance Volunteer - this would suit someone with DIY/construction skills, however these skills can be taught/learnt on site; the type of tasks include maintaining and building of fences, gates, doors, shelves, painting (indoors and out), basic DIY and much more;
Wildlife Garden Volunteer - this is a small garden which although close to the initial finishing, it will need ongoing maintenance; this is a great opportunity to learn about plants specifically used to encourage more wildlife into a garden;
Gardening Volunteer - if you are enthusiastic about gardening or wish to learn we do vegetable, flower and fruit gardening on site;
Other volunteering opportunities are available in woodlands, administration, education and family activities.
We also arrange corporate volunteering days throughout the year for businesses and local organisations.
